Service Description
All school aged children in 4th - 9th Grades. This class meets most Thursdays from 6 - 8:30PM. Some scenes may be called to rehearse on certain Tuesdays from 7:15-8:30PM. Show week is February 24 to March 2 and attendance is mandatory. Rehearsals during the week of the show will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Show days are February 28, March 1 and March 2. We will perform 5 shows (Friday night, 2 on Saturday, and 2 on Sunday). There will be no rehearsal on the following dates: 11/28 (Thanksgiving), 12/17 (Choir Concert), 12/19, 12/24, 12/26, 12/31 or 1/2 (Winter Break). This experience open to all students in 4th - 9th grades (for the 24/25 school year). All roles and parts will be by audition. There will be several audition dates/times throughout the fall. Please do not commit to this class if you are not willing to attend every rehearsal the week of the show - These rehearsals are mandatory! Even the late rehearsals. Rehearsals begin on November 12. If you withdraw on or before October 1, you will receive a credit for a future class or production. You must fully register to be offered an audition. Harford Music and Arts has an absolutely zero tolerance policy for disrespectful behavior between students, parents, instructors, and directors. Students or parents exhibiting these behaviors will be immediately dismissed from the production with no refund. Please always be kind! Rebellion is nigh in Matilda JR., a gleefully witty ode to the the anarchy of childhood and the power of imagination! This story of a girl who dreams of a better life and the children she inspires will have audiences rooting for the "revolting children" who are out to teach the grown-ups a lesson.
