Service Description

All school aged children in grades 4-12 This class meets most Tuesdays and Thursdays. We will meet from 5:30-6:45pm through March and April, and then 6:00-8:30pm for the duration of the production. Tuesdays will usually be for specific scenes, with only certain actors called. Thursdays will be for all cast. We will send emails to let you know who we are calling for Tuesday Rehearsals. Closer to show time, all cast will be called for all rehearsals. Show week is June 9 - 15 and attendance is mandatory. Rehearsals during the week of the show will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with a potential of extended hours. Show days are June 13-15. We will perform up to 5 shows (Friday night, 2 on Saturday, and 2 on Sunday). There will be no rehearsal on the following dates: April 29 and May 1. This experience is open to all students in 4th - 12th grades. All roles and parts will be by audition. There will be several audition dates/times throughout the winter. (Matilda Jr. students MAY not have to audition!) Please do not commit to this class if you are not willing to attend every rehearsal the week of the show - These rehearsals are mandatory! Even the late rehearsals. Rehearsals begin on March 11. If you withdraw on or before February 1, you will receive a credit for a future class or production. You must fully register to be offered an audition. Harford Music and Arts has an absolutely zero tolerance policy for disrespectful behavior between students, parents, instructors, and directors. Students or parents exhibiting these behaviors will be immediately dismissed from the production with no refund. Please always be kind! The ghost-with-the-most comes to the stage in Beetlejuice JR., the frightfully funny musical based on the beloved motion picture turned Broadway phenomenon. Lydia Deetz is a strange and unusual teenager, still grieving the loss of her mother and obsessed with the whole “being dead thing.” Lucky for Lydia, she and her father move to a new house haunted by a recently deceased couple and Beetlejuice, a delightful demon with a real zest for life. When Lydia calls on Beetlejuice to scare away anyone with a pulse, this double-crossing specter shows his true stripes, unleashing a (Nether)world of pandemonium. This class is limited to the first 26 registrants. Payment plans available! Visit: https://www.harfordmusicandarts.com/plans
